We are proud to announce that Bolton St Catherine’s Academy (BSCA) has formally become part of The Bishop Fraser Trust - a multi academy trust established to improve and maintain high educational standards across its member schools. BSCA joins the current members St James’s C of E High School and Canon Slade School, with the Trust supporting all its partner schools to promote and develop high quality education in a Christian context in Bolton.
The Bishop Fraser Trust has been founded with the vision allow all children to experience ‘life in all its fullness’, no matter what their starting point.
We will do this by:
· Offering a high quality, inclusive and distinctive education
· A caring and nurturing environment based on our Christian values
· Recognising the unique nature of each child.
CEO of The Bishop Fraser Trust is Tania Lewyckyj, also Headteacher of St James’s C of E High School. Ms Lewyckyj said “We are very pleased to be able to bring BSCA formally into the Trust which we have been working with since 2017 to start to raise attainment and standards. Principal Rachael Lucas has already overseen some great improvements since her appointment in September and membership of the Trust will only see the pace of these improvements accelerate and have sustainable impact “.
Headteacher of Bolton St Catherine’s Academy Rachael Lucas said “I was appointed as Principal with a very clear vision for what I want for all the students at BSCA. And that is the education that they deserve in a school that improves outcomes for all and creates students who are ambitious and curious learners. Membership of The Bishop Fraser Trust allows us to work in close collaboration with our partner schools, having a profound effect on the outcomes of our students and our staff”.
To commemorate the joining of the three schools, students, staff and trustees from the Trust, BSCA, St James’ and Canon Slade took part in photoshoot at the statue of Bishop James Fraser which stands in Albert Square in the city of Manchester - featured here!
