We are looking to recruit a Trust IT Support Lead

Our family of schools currently consists of; one all through school, three secondary schools, one with a sixth form and one primary school. While each school holds its own unique identity, we work together collectively to achieve our mission to provide ‘Life in all its fullness’ through the highest quality education, training and outcomes for all.
If successful, you would be initially based at Bolton St Catherine’s Academy, however, there may be occasions where you are asked to support on a project at another school site, however we can organise travel and the schools are all very close to each other.
Main Duties:
- Ensure reliable IT operations at the primary academy and provide support across the Trust
- Develop and implement tactical plans to address IT needs and improve efficiency
- Enhance IT support for staff and students, ensuring effective issue resolution
- Manage and oversee the career development of the IT Support Technician
- Support and contribute to Trust-wide IT projects, aligning with strategic goals
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and inventory of IT assets
- Promote collaboration with Network Managers and IT staff, and pursue professional development
- Ensure compliance with Academy and Trust IT policies and report concerns as needed
We are seeking an individual who:
- Is a great team player, friendly, and professional
- Has knowledge of operating systems, including windows operating systems, networking, hardware and software commonly used in schools
- Enjoys working as part of a team and being able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff
- Is confident in liaising with a variety of staff at all levels
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrates personal resilience and role models those personal qualities we wish to instil in our young people
- Has the ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to form positive, professional and empathetic relationships with colleagues and students

Salary & Benefits
Grade F SCP 17 – 23 (£28,770 - £32,076)
(Pay Award Pending Effective April 2024)
